St Benedict Center
1126 Road I

The Saint John’s Bible is the first handwritten bible, commissioned by a Benedictine monastery in more than five hundred years, on approximately 1,150 pages and including 160 major illuminations. A copy of the large, seven-volume leather bound Heritage Edition, which is a fine art reproduction of The Saint John’s Bible, has been donated to St. Benedict Center and will be on permanent display starting in the spring of 2020. This workshop is for those who might be interested in becoming guides for the Saint John’s Bible: You will get to know The Saint John’s Bible, learn“why” and “how” the original manuscript was created and become familiar with the illuminations. Those willing to bring and/or guide a group two times a year, will receive a free book with all the illuminations and a handout describing the Seeing the Word process.

Register now here or call (402) 352-8819.
