Presented by parishioner Edward M. DeSimone II, R.Ph., Ph.D., FAPhA; Professor of Pharmacy Sciences at Creighton and President of Coalition Rx. The term “adult child” is used to describe adults who grew up in alcoholic, drug abusing, or dysfunctional family. These individuals often carry identifiable traits and behaviors that persist into adulthood often without realizing it. This presentation is important to anyone who grew up with an addicted family member and/or in such a dysfunctional environment. Just like addicts, adult children need to work on their own recovery.
