Theology Day: The Untapped Power of the Eucharist
April 6, 2025
11:00am - 3:00pmSt. John Vianney Catholic Church
5801 Oak Hills Drive
Omaha, Nebraska 68144
Cost: Free
What does the Church’s traditional teaching on Eucharist mean to today’s Catholic? How can we enrich our understanding of how Christ is present in the sacrament?
Current surveys show that one in three Catholics today do not believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharistic elements at Mass.
Join Dr. Shawn Colberg for an exploration of the Church’s teaching on the Eucharist including the way it calls us to become Christ for one another and the world around us. Together we will reflect on Eucharistic
presence as sign, sacrament, and sacrifice as a way to renew our connection with Jesus in the sacrament. And we will explore the theology of the Eucharist and the amazing power of Eucharistic presence within the liturgy to renew and regenerate both the Church and the wider world.
This presentation orients us as Pilgrims of Hope in the 2025 Jubilee Year.
Registration is required. There is no cost for attending Theology Day.
