Join Blessed Art Thou Tours on a one-of-a-kind Hope of the Poor Mission Trip and Pilgrimage to Mexico City, January 29 to February 4, 2026. Experience the love of Our Lady of Guadalupe as she leads us closer to her Son, Jesus Christ, through the poor.
Accompanied by Rev. Frank Baumert, Priest of the Archdiocese of Omaha, missionaries Craig Johring and Danny Leger of Hope of the Poor will be leading us to bring the light of Christ into the darkest mission fields. We will be staying in Mexico City at the beautiful Convent Real Monastery De Jesus Maria located in the shadow of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Our registered group leader is Jolene Jefferies, Parish Manager of St. Patrick in Gretna.
We are planning a full immersion into Our Lady of Guadalupe and her poorest of the poor at the Mexico City homeless women’s shelter, as well as an orphanage run by a Catholic Sister, and the La Raza community street kids. We will explore the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, home to the Tilma of Juan Diego occupying the living image of our blessed mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe, and enjoy Mass there on a few occasions. At the Basilica we will also serve the homeless. In addition to serving the poor, we will take some time for a fun Cablebus Gondola Tour, a visit to the Church of the Fifth Apparition, the San Juan Teotihuacan Pyramids (a UNESCO world heritage site), the Mexico City Metropolitan Cathedral and so much more!

Please be sure to attend our upcoming Mexico City Pilgrimage Info Meeting on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gretna. Father Frank will be in attendance. This meeting will last for approximately 90 minutes.
