Envision crowd members in the background of depictions of the Stations of the Cross coming to life and stepping forward to speak.

XIV from the Crowd features fourteen performers portraying members of the crowd following Jesus. At each Station, one crowd member steps out to express thoughts, feelings, judgements, doubts, and confusions. Their moving responses to Christ and events stir our own. Reflections and prayers follow each monologue, including Psalm verses set to music by performing artist Danny Leger. (60 minutes)

The Nourish Women’s Retreat is a one-day retreat designed to help women step away from everyday busyness and enter a space of spiritual rest and renewal.

Women are invited to encounter the gentle, healing presence of the Lord. Featuring speakers: Krista Knicely Anderson, Shannon Bolin, and Sue (Hatt) Ludvik of the Unveiled Team. Optional: 8:00 a.m. Rosary and 8:30 a.m. Mass.

An 8-week session, from March 7 to April 26, for those grieving the death of a loved one using Alan Wolfelt's book - "Understanding Your Grief."

THE MAGDALENE XIV
Mary Magdalene serves as companion and guide to the congregation along the Way of the Cross as she recalls her memories, feelings, and insights at each station and leads participants into reflections and prayers.

The Magdalene XIV features Omaha performer Christina Rohling (Omaha Community Playhouse, Bridget St. Bridget Theater, etc.) portraying Mary Magdalene as a woman of courage, faith and great love who is willing to endure much to witness — and bear witness to — Christ’s Way of the Cross. (60 minutes)

The classic work "The Seven Last Words of Christ," by Dubois, is a compelling work for soloists and choir. All are invited to join in singing this beautiful 45-minute work at St. Cecilia Cathedral in Omaha with the organ, followed by fellowship by all participants.

• WHAT? A Sing-along is an opportunity to sing through this work with others.


• WHO? Anyone who has sung in a choir and would like to join in and prepare.


• SOLOIST AUDITIONS – All movements have solos.

The Centurion XIV… Imagine the events of the Passion described by the Centurion who pierced the side of Jesus with his lance. Non-canonical sources have asserted his name — Longinus — and stories about him telling of his becoming a follower of Jesus and eventually dying a martyr’s death.

In this Reader’s Theater meditation, we will imagine Longinus in a Roman prison with other followers of Christ. All are about to die, and Longinus is asked to recall his memories and thoughts of The Way of the Cross to help pass their final hour.

The Centurion XIV features local performer Karl Rohling portraying Longinus as a person of both deep faith and heavy regrets who guides the congregation to contemplate their own faith and their own regrets — and the need for mercy. (60 minutes)

Dr. Michael Rubbelke – assistant professor of spirituality and monastic studies at St. John's School of Theology and Seminary – will explore the Rule of St. Benedict and the monastic understanding of stability in this extremely mobile culture and how the experience of conscious commitment to one's communities can be a gift for contemporary American Christians.

He will address the practical advantages and blessings of being rooted in the kind of community that results from the virtue of stability and its power to be an antidote to the fear and division that exists in society today.
