Two huge sales beginning 9 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, and ending on Saturday, July 12, at 12:01 p.m.

One sale features a gym full of gently used clothes for all ages, all sizes. Sold by the bag. On Friday, buy 1 bag, 50% off 2nd bag. Saturday, free clothes (free will offering).

The other sale, in the Parish Center, is full of very useful and unique items, including furniture, kitchen ware, pictures, books, etc.

Join us for this year’s Fr. Ssonko Fundraiser—Invest in Hope: Educate Youth for Brighter Tomorrows—on Friday, July 11.

This unique raise-the-paddle fundraiser raises money to support our sister parish, St. Mary’s in Busaabala, Uganda. Last year, we had an outstanding response to raise funds to build a dormitory for the students of St. Mary’s Primary School.

This year we will be raising funds to support the students of the school —particularly in paying for uniforms for students who can’t afford them, school supplies, and the like. Visit our parish website or stop in the St. Patrick Gretna Parish Office to get your tickets.

The Stella Matutina O’Connor Foundation is offering a $30,000 matching fund this year.

A weekend retreat for fathers (grandpas too) and their sons ages 11-17, provides opportunities for deepening the faith of fathers and the growth of their sons into mature manhood in the context of the Catholic faith.

The weekend includes talks by fathers and sons and lots of one-on-one time. Additional opportunities include Adoration, Sacrament of Reconciliation, Benediction, morning prayer, Mass, hayrack ride, water balloon competition, game night, and fathers against sons dodgeball!

Honoring the Life of Kateri Tekakwitha.

Come for an hour of prayer, Scripture, silent adoration, meditation and inspirational music. Experience the peace and serenity that only comes from praying before the Blessed Sacrament. The hour ends with Benediction sung in Latin.

Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is a three-day retreat for juniors and seniors in high school, as well as college freshmen. This intergenerational movement helps youth transition into young adulthood. TEC draws participants into the heart of the Catholic faith: Christ’s Paschal Mystery (His passion, death, and resurrection) lived out in the Church. The weekend helps youth relate this mystery to the concrete realities of their lives and challenges them to make a deeper commitment to Christ.

The retreat schedule consists of fellowship and free time, talks given by team members, small group discussion, personal prayer, opportunities to receive the sacraments, and other group activities. TEC gives young people a safe place to ask questions, reflect on the person of Christ and who He is in their lives, and experience meaningful relationships with others. Through TEC, young people enter into a wider community that supports and sustains them, creating bonds that often last a lifetime.

The retreat begins 9:30 a.m. on July 18 and ends July 20 at 6 p.m.

Individuals and families seeking the intercession of St. Peregrine, the patron saint of those dealing with cancer, are invited to a special Mass celebrated for those who are ill and their loved ones on the third Saturday of every month.

This four-evening event – from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night from Tuesday, July 22, through Friday, July 25 – will upgrade your spiritual awareness and experience of the supernatural lifestyle that is available to every believer!

You will experience biblically based teaching that will renew your mind’s understanding of your identity in Christ, and you will be positioned to thrive in your kingdom assignment in Christ.
