10th Annual Feast Day of the Holy Face of Jesus Mass

Adore His Holy Face at this beautiful liturgical celebration.

Blessed Maria Pierina de Micheli (Congregation of the Daughters of the Immaculate Conception) received visions from Jesus asking her to spread devotion to his Holy Face on Shrove Tuesday. In 1958, Pope Pius XII approved the Feast of the Holy Face of Jesus on Shrove Tuesday – the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. The feast day is preceded by a novena, a nine-day period of prayer, beginning on February 23rd.

Mercy: A Lenten Pilgrimage With St. Luke

A principal theme of St. Luke’s Gospel is mercy. This Lenten retreat will center itself around the Gospel’s most famous discourse on God’s mercy, The Parable of the Prodigal Son/Father (Ch. 15).

A brief overview of the theme of Divine Mercy and St. Luke’s Gospel will introduce our reflection. Consideration will also be given to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as a symbol of Divine Mercy.

Led by Father James L. Secora, MDiv, MEd, a priest of the Archdiocese of Dubuque, Iowa, and an Oblate of Christ the King Priory in Schuyler.
