Theme: Miraculous Medal

Reflection:  We will learn about the fruits of the Miraculous Medal which was given to Saint Catherine Labouré to share with the world and we will receive a blessed medal.  This hour includes the recitation of the Rosary and availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Investiture of the Miraculous Medal.

 

The parishioners of Holy Family, Decatur, have decided to turn over their church and social hall to the Decatur Historical Society to replace the Society’s building that burned down earlier this year.

In early 2025, Holy Family Parish will become a parish without a church property. In celebration of the many years of service Holy Family Church has provided, the parish will have a Mass on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 at 6:00 PM with a meal to follow. Come share in the memories and help support the parishioners of Holy Family, Decatur, during this time of transition.

This group is for those who have experienced the pain and loneliness of a broken marriage. The program is for newly separated, divorced, and those who still struggle years later. The group will meet on Thursdays starting January 16th, at 6:30 pm, at St. Wenceslaus Church in Omaha.

His Global Love Prayer Communities invite you to a Healing Mass on Friday, January 17th , 2025, at St. Gerald Catholic Church, 9602 Q St. Omaha.

Rosary at 6:15 p.m., praise and worship to follow. Mass at 7:00 p.m. Fr. Kevin Joyce from His Global Love Ministry will be presiding. All are welcome.

Individuals and families seeking the intercession of St. Peregrine, the patron saint of those dealing with cancer, are invited to a special Mass celebrated for those who are ill and their loved ones on the third Saturday of every month.

Holy Mass with blessing of children and procession from St. Cecilia Cathedral to school cafeteria for short program and banquet.

Join the Serra Club of West Omaha for a beautiful Holy Hour to Pray for Vocations, beginning with a brief meet-and-greet in the Karol Commons Student Center at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Holy Hour at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. The Presider will be Father Tom Weisbecker, Chaplain of the Serra Club of West Omaha. Together we will pray a Rosary for Vocations before the Blessed Sacrament, exposed in a special Serra traveling monstrance that was blessed by Pope St. John Paul II.  We will also recite the Litany for Vocations and spend time in silent adoration as we pray for an increase in vocations throughout the Archdiocese of Omaha. Gather25 is a gathering of Christians from across the globe.

It is a chance for the Church to remember that we are big, that God is with us, that there is work to do and we have a recommissioning to go and do that work.

Come and gather with other Christians across Omaha and watch a portion of Gather25 on Friday, February 28th, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and after the 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday, March 1st, from 6:30 to 8.

Join us for light snacks and refreshments before each event. We will worship, pray, confess sin and be inspired by what God is doing on Earth in our generation. Your whole family is invited to participate.

This fundraiser for Nebraska Right to Life will feature a talk by actor and pro-life advocate Jim Caviezel. Caviezel is known for portraying Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ" and Tim Ballard in "Sound of Freedom."

It is our goal as men, with the help of God’s grace, to become men after God’s own heart. In our modern culture men face many pressures and temptations, especially regarding their roles as husbands and fathers.

This retreat – which begins Friday at 7:30 p.m. and ends Sunday after lunch – will draw from Holy Scripture, as well as from the wisdom of the saints, from the teaching of the Church, and from modern science, to come up with a vision and our own plan for being men of God and men fully alive during this Year 2025!

Brother August Schaefer OSB, Deacon Mark Capoun, Father Thomas Leitner OSB and Brother Moses Macalalag OSB will direct this men’s retreat. The schedule includes brief conferences, silence, Mass, Confession, fellowship, and spiritual direction. This retreat is open to all ages and scholarships are available.

Meals: breakfast $9, lunch $13.30 and supper $12.30
