The parishioners of Holy Family, Decatur, have decided to turn over their church and social hall to the Decatur Historical Society to replace the Society’s building that burned down earlier this year.
In early 2025, Holy Family Parish will become a parish without a church property. In celebration of the many years of service Holy Family Church has provided, the parish will have a Mass on Tuesday, January 7th, 2025 at 6:00 PM with a meal to follow. Come share in the memories and help support the parishioners of Holy Family, Decatur, during this time of transition.

Join the Serra Club of West Omaha for a beautiful Holy Hour to Pray for Vocations, beginning with a brief meet-and-greet in the Karol Commons Student Center at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Holy Hour at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel. The Presider will be Father Tom Weisbecker, Chaplain of the Serra Club of West Omaha. Come and gather with other Christians across Omaha and watch a portion of Gather25 on Friday, February 28th, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and after the 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday, March 1st, from 6:30 to 8.
Join us for light snacks and refreshments before each event. We will worship, pray, confess sin and be inspired by what God is doing on Earth in our generation. Your whole family is invited to participate.

'A Man After God's Own Heart' men's retreat

It is our goal as men, with the help of God’s grace, to become men after God’s own heart. In our modern culture men face many pressures and temptations, especially regarding their roles as husbands and fathers.
This retreat – which begins Friday at 7:30 p.m. and ends Sunday after lunch – will draw from Holy Scripture, as well as from the wisdom of the saints, from the teaching of the Church, and from modern science, to come up with a vision and our own plan for being men of God and men fully alive during this Year 2025!
Brother August Schaefer OSB, Deacon Mark Capoun, Father Thomas Leitner OSB and Brother Moses Macalalag OSB will direct this men’s retreat. The schedule includes brief conferences, silence, Mass, Confession, fellowship, and spiritual direction. This retreat is open to all ages and scholarships are available.

Meals: breakfast $9, lunch $13.30 and supper $12.30
Sales and lodging tax are additional.
