In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness month and the connection between domestic violence and trafficking, the Omaha Urban Council of Catholic Women is pleased to have Paul Yates, Executive Director of I’ve Got a Name, speak at its meeting. I’ve Got a Name is a street outreach organization based in Lincoln that works to rescue the women where they are — on the streets — and walk alongside them to transform their lives.

He is headquartered in the Diocese of Tyler, Texas.

Converging Roads is hosting its first annual health care ethics conference, Converging Roads, at Creighton University in collaboration with the St. John Paul II Foundation, The Fr. Edward J. Flanagan Guild, and Creighton University. This one-day conference offers continuing education for healthcare professionals, students, and chaplains and equips them to practice the highest ethical and medical standards of their profession. The theme is Fundamental Health Care Ethics, and will include presentations on Human Dignity and the Mission of Catholic Health Care, The Vocation of the Health Care Professional, Care for the Caregiver and more.
