The Preacher to the Popes: Raniero Cantalamessa Ecumenical Movie Night

6:30pm - 9:00pm
Cost: $16
Since 1980, God has used this humble, soft-spoken man as the preacher to the papal household, serving the last three Popes. This documentary film tells the story of his personal conversion through his intellect, experience and will. As a traditional Catholic priest and professor on early Church history, he experienced a turning point in his relationship with God while reluctantly attending an ecumenical conference in Kansas City in 1977. At this gathering of 40,000 people of every denomination, he saw the undeniable presence of the Spirit of God, and the impact of this experience has led him to the forefront of ecumenical dialogue and Christian reconciliation. Cardinal Cantalamessa is featured in the Alpha Film Series in the video presentations on the Holy Spirit, helping Christians of many traditions to discover a life led by the Spirit.

The film features: Cardinal Raniero Cantalamessa, O.F.M., Cap.; Chris Stefanick; Bp. Sam Jacobs; Dr. Ralph Martin; Dcn. Larry Oney; Gordon Robertson; Alicia Hartle; Walter Matthews; Dr. Mary Healy; Bp. Andrzej Siemieniezski; Fr. Anthony Ouellette; Sr. Nancy Kellar; Fr. John Gordon; Abp. Sean Larkin; Matteo Calisi; Fr. Brendan Murray; and Joshua Dart.

Tickets are $16 each, which covers event expenses
and a $6 donation to support the work of Alpha in Nebraska.

Prayer and worship will follow the movie.
