The Five Imperatives to Create A Culture of Generosity - March 2022

9:00am - 3:00pm
In 2020, Archbishop Lucas announced The Big Goal: Within the next six years, every parish in the archdiocese will become a "Missional Community." Key to achieving this goal are three important characteristics:

1. Collaborative Leadership
2. A Clear Path of Discipleship
3. A Culture of Generosity

Over time, these characteristics will bear fruit in the measurement outcomes of increased mass attendance, an increase of baptisms and receptions into the Church, increased offertory, and the living of mercy in the wider community. In partnership with the Archdiocese of Omaha Pastoral Services Team, The Stewardship and Development Office will offer learning opportunities to develop one of the three characteristics: A Culture of Generosity.

Learn more about the Big Goal and the resources available at equip.archomaha.org

The Five Imperatives to Create A Culture of Generosity

Shannan Brommer, Director, Stewardship & Development Office – Archdiocese of Omaha
Tom Crowley, Officer, Stewardship & Development Office – Archdiocese of Omaha
Deacon Albert Aulner, Pastoral Coordinator

A Culture of Generosity is not just an attitude of gratitude for all that we receive from God, but a framework that helps answer Jesus’ call to be His disciples, no matter the cost. Join us as we dive into Five Imperatives to successfully promote gifts of prayer, participation and generosity as recommended in the U.S. Bishops’ Pastoral Letter, Stewardship A Disciple’s Response.

Shannan Brommer and Tom Crowley with the Stewardship & Development Office will accompany pastors and parish leaders seeking to maximize stewardship and development initiatives in parishes to further the mission of Jesus.

Who should attend: Pastors, parish leadership, parish council members, school and parish stewardship and development staff and volunteers, development committees and more.

Potential Outcomes of this workshop include:
1. Tools and next steps to create, implement and plan towards A Culture of Generosity.
2. A deeper understanding of how to foster an environment in which the sharing of prayer, participation and generosity is encouraged and deeply valued.
3. Action items for progressive movement towards becoming a Missional Community through discipleship, pastoral conversion and generosity.
