Attend the St. Philip Neri-Blessed Sacrament Fall Festival beginning with the Kids 100 Yard Dash at 10:00 a.m., entry fee $5. 5K Halfway to Heaven Hill Challenge at 10:30 a.m., entry fee $30. Festival starts at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Corner Market - Sweet Shoppe with handmade/homemade/homegrown goodies, great food, beer garden and Husker Game. Today is the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, and the Mary Our Queen Parish Legion of Mary is hosting a Candlelight Rosary Procession around the grounds in Mary's honor.  There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in church for those who are not able to walk around the grounds.

Training will take place at Sacred Heart Parish office; located south of Sacred Heart Church building on corner of Madison Ave and 5th Street. Enter office through front door and class is located on 2nd floor first room above the stairs.

The class will be held in the community room in the school. Please enter through the school doors at the west end of the campus by the gym.

Fr. Anthony Salzman, an artist and a priest in the Greek Orthodox Church leads a Theology Matters discussion on how icons make the gospel visible. Join us for an interesting look at an ancient art form.

The film Power in My Hands (1 hr., 20 min.) uncovers the beauty, timelessness and power of the rosary, showing how it has the power to revitalize our society that is in spiritual crisis, and how it can instill an active response to our Blessed Mother’s plea for prayer in so many recent apparitions.  Prominent individuals will share their personal stories of the power of the rosary. Croise is a new approach to teach men to pray, set goals and take action to express their faith in ways which opens their minds and strengthen their resolve to change the world they live in. It is a time in history when our original faith must be reignited, understood and lived with compelling passion by men. The confusion of today must be used to clearly define who Jesus Christ is for the world. Our premier Holy Hour will use magnificent music, time tested historical writings, preaching prayer, ingenious use of technology and a lightning demonstration of the French defensive fencing move Croise (kwaa-zay).

All men over 18 are welcome to Croise every third Monday of the month at St. Cecilia's.

Team Information

• There​ ​will​ ​be​ ​a​ ​division​ ​for​ ​4th,​ ​5th,​ ​6th,​ ​7th  and​ ​8th​ ​graders.​ ​​ ​Depending​ ​on​ ​the​ ​number  of​ ​teams​ ​per​ ​levels,​ ​grade​ ​levels​ ​may​ ​be  combined.


• Each​ ​team​ ​must​ ​have​ ​at​ ​least​ ​three​ ​but​ ​no  more​ ​than​ ​five​ ​players.


• Teams​ ​will​ ​be​ ​put​ ​in​ ​four-team​ ​pools.​ ​​ ​You  will​ ​play​ ​everyone​ ​in​ ​your​ ​pool​ ​and​ ​then​ ​be  seeded​ ​in​ ​a​ ​single​ ​elimination​ ​tournament.


• Each​ ​team​ ​needs​ ​either​ ​matching​ ​reversible  jerseys​ ​with​ ​a​ ​dark​ ​and​ ​light​ ​color​ ​OR​ ​a  white​ ​t-shirt​ ​and​ ​a​ ​dark​ ​colored​ ​t-shirt.  Please​ ​make​ ​sure​ ​the​ ​dark​ ​color​ ​is​ ​the  same​ ​for​ ​all​ ​players.


• Players​ ​should​ ​manage​ ​their​ ​own​ ​teams  without​ ​assistance​ ​from​ ​a​ ​coach.


• The​ ​team​ ​captain​ ​should​ ​verify​ ​that​ ​EACH  team​ ​member​ ​has​ ​submitted​ ​a​ ​registration  form​ ​-​ ​either​ ​online​ ​or​ ​mailed​ ​in.

Games

• All​ ​games​ ​will​ ​be​ ​played​ ​at​ ​Skutt​ ​Catholic High​ ​School.


• Games​ ​will​ ​start​ ​at​ ​8​ ​a.m.​ ​and​ ​run​ ​all​ ​day Saturday.


• All​ ​games​ ​will​ ​be​ ​officiated​ ​by​ ​SC​ ​coaches.


• Every​ ​team​ ​is​ ​guaranteed​ ​four​ ​games.


• Tournament​ ​schedules​ ​will​ ​be​ ​emailed​ ​out​ ​the​ ​week​ ​of​ ​the​ ​tournament.

Awards

• Every​ ​participant​ ​will​ ​receive​ ​a​ ​t-shirt​ ​and  awards​ ​will​ ​be​ ​given​ ​for​ ​the​ ​champions​ ​and  runners-up​ ​of​ ​each​ ​grade.

Skutt Catholic will host Angel Flight 2018 – Masquerade Gala. Angel Flight 2017 united more than 730 alumni, faculty, staff, volunteers and supporters and raised more than $500,000 to support financial aid and school improvement efforts. Attendance was up from 500 in 2016. Due to last year’s record-breaking, sold-out attendance, early online registration is recommended. Click here to register.
