The two-day weekend includes talks, prayer, Reconciliation, Mass, Adoration, Benediction, game night, fathers against sons dodgeball, water balloon competition, and more fun activities. Themes explored this weekend in light of our Catholic faith are our identity as father and son, the father-son bond, becoming a man, communicating from the heart, living our Catholic faith, relating to peers, and vocations as a father and a son: our response to God’s call. After every talk, fathers and their sons are given one-on-one time to talk about what has been discussed.

Please support the Columban missions worldwide by attending this fundraising dinner which includes chicken cordon bleu and salmon, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, dinner roll and salad: free soda, coffee, tea, water, and a cash bar. There will also be entertainment and raffles throughout the evening.

The 2023 Omaha Catholic Songwriter’s Night will be showcase local Catholic musicians who will have the opportunity to share original songs in a coffee house style concert setting. This concert is free and open to the public. It is an opportunity to encourage creativity within music that is Catholic in nature.

Song Submission Guidelines
Artists wishing to perform one or two songs can submit an audio file along with written lyrics on or before July 10th for consideration. Songs that are chosen should be Catholic in nature, meaning they are in line with Catholic teachings as well as have a spiritual meaning. Songs do not need to be any certain style and do not need to be written for use in the Catholic Mass. However, songs will need to be complete, including accompaniment. Songs that are submitted will be reviewed to ensure they align with our guidelines and artists will be notified via email by July 20 to confirm their live performance slot during the July 28th concert. Those selected will be asked to send a short paragraph bio that our emcee can use to introduce you during the concert. Audio files and lyrics should be emailed to hannahkeisling@gmail.com
