The Deacon of Ministry is highly engaged in setting the spiritual culture of the organization, and in bringing prayer support to grieving families who utilize Catholic Cemeteries to inter a loved one. Functions as the cleric for interments in the absence of a priest, or assists priest as available. Coordinates monthly memorial and annual Memorial Day Masses. 20 hours per week (mornings) Monday through Friday, and at least one Saturday morning per month. Position requirements include being an ordained deacon in good standing in the Catholic Church, with very good people skills and very general office skills. Ability to speak Spanish is highly beneficial. This is a great position for someone who is in the process of retiring from the “corporate world” to minister daily, supplement your income, and still have ample free time for home responsibilities.
