Director of Vocations Biography
Fr. Paul Hoesing is a rural native of the Omaha Archdiocese. He grew up in St. Boni-face parish in Menominee, NE. He graduated from West Catholic Elementary in For-dyce and Menominee, NE and Cedar Catholic High School in Hartington, NE. After two years at Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, IA, Father attended Saint John Vianney Seminary in St. Paul, MN. After graduating in 1998 with a BA in Biology and mi-nors in Chemistry and Philosophy, he continued formation for the priesthood at the North American College and completed his Licentiate in Dogmatic Theology at the Gregorian University in Rome. He was ordained by Archbishop Elden Francis Curtiss in 2002.
After his ordination, Fr. Hoesing served three years as the Assistant Pastor of Saint Bernard Parish in Omaha, Nebraska with teaching and chaplaincy duties at Roncalli Catholic High School. He then served two years as the Associate Pastor at St. Patrick Parish in O'Neill, NE with teaching duties at Saint Mary High School.
He was appointed Director of Vocations in June of 2008.
