Through the Archdiocese of Omaha, our youth can experience the joy of Jesus’ abundant and everlasting love as a daily gift along their journey. Whether in grade school or high school, we are wholeheartedly devoted to helping our youth discover their own way while establishing a personal relationship with Christ. With prayer, worship, education, spiritual growth and service, we solidify their faith in Him—as well as themselves—and prepare them to lead a life of unwavering compassion.
Youth Ministry in the archdiocese follows the goals of comprehensive youth ministry as laid out in the recent document “Renewing the Vision,” published by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. This gives all who minister to adolescents a framework for which to build a foundation.
“Renewing the Vision” is a call to make ministry with adolescents a concern for the entire church community, working toward three essential goals:
- To empower young people to live as disciples.
- To draw young people to responsible participation into the life, mission and work of the faith community.
- To foster the personal and spiritual growth of each young person.
Designed to attend to a wide spectrum of adolescent needs, Youth Ministry must be holistic and developmental, adaptable to the diverse challenges you’ll encounter with both younger and older adolescents. A successful Youth Ministry is focused on the special needs of young people and their communities.
Ministries include?: Advocacy, Catechesis, Evangelization, Leadership Development, Prayer and Worship, Community Life, Justice and Service, and Pastoral Care. Follow the links in this section to find resources to guide you in your Youth Ministry.

At the Omaha Archdiocese, we believe in educational opportunities for all. That’s why we’re pleased to offer several scholarships thanks to the efforts and generosity of many within our Catholic faith. Take a look at the various scholarships offered.
