Christ the King Parish (1,231 households) is looking for a full-time Evangelization Director (R.E. and Adult Faith Formation). The Evangelization Director heads up the Religious Education program for families on Wednesday evenings (120 children) and also organizes (not necessarily leading) major efforts for Religious Formation for adults, e.g., Discovering Christ; RCIA; RCIC; Baptism preparation classes, Bible studies; etc. Candidates should be ardent Catholics who live their faith, pray and receive the Sacraments regularly, and who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; have experience in evangelization techniques for adults and catechesis of children; be excited about the New Evangelization; be adept at identifying people’s gifts and charisms, involving people in the mission, and delegating responsibilities; enjoy people and meeting new people; have a good, working knowledge of Catholic theology, catechetical textbooks for children and adults, and Church teachings; have demonstrable speaking, writing, and people skills; be self-motivated; possess at least moderate familiarity with current technology, programs, and apps; and have a willingness to join Christ the King Parish as an active parishioner. Previous experience in these areas and/or additional knowledge and experience with ChristLife (or other evangelical models like Cursillo, Catholic Alpha, etc.) is beneficial.
